EL LAZARILLO DE TORMES
The book of "lazarillo de Tormes" talks
about the life of Lazaro and how he lived and fought. Everything begins when Lazaro
tells his childhood. He says that his name comes from the place where he was
born, which was the river of Tormes. He says that when he turned eight his
father, whose name was Tome Gonzales, was accused of theft and was also forced
to serve a gentleman, where he fought and died.
Lazaro and his mother, who was called Antonia Pérez,
went to live in the city where his mother worked cooking the students and
washing the clothes of the waiters. She began to have a relationship with a boy
called Zaide, and Lazaro accepted the relationship since Zaide gave them a
better life. At the time Zaide and his Mother had a child, everything was
happiness until one day they learned that Zaide stole, and was captured and
flogged. At the time The mother knows a blind man who thought that Lazarus
would serve as a guide. His mother told Lazaro and he accepted and went with
the blind man. The blind man was very clever and, more than any other, he
taught Lazarus how difficult life was. The blind man, too, was very poor and
barely fed him. When finally Lazaro gets tired of living with the blind man, he
deceives him so he can leave. Lazaro still lives with different people, but he
always ended up getting bored with them and escaped without saying anything. At
the time Lázaro married the servant of one of his masters, where he lived very
well with his new wife. Then rumors began to form about his wife and his
master. Lazaro wife cried and told her
that all those rumors were false, but Lazaro reassured her. He decided not to
listen to all those rumors and be happy. He finally reached a period of
stability in his life, and for him there was nothing better
